Lower Price. Real Reasons.

We're not cutting corners to offer affordable colocation in Washington. The price difference comes from structural advantages — location, ownership, and operational model.

Hydro Power Costs Less

Grant County PUD delivers hydroelectric power at some of the lowest commercial rates in the US. Power is the biggest cost driver in colocation. Ours is structurally cheaper — and we pass that through.

🏢

No Seattle Real Estate

Seattle and Bellevue data centers pay premium commercial real estate costs and pass them to you. Quincy, WA doesn't have that overhead. Same fiber connectivity — different zip code economics.

🌐

ISP-Owned — No Middleman

Columbia Colocation is operated by Crescent Bar Internet, LLC — the ISP that owns the fiber. No reseller margin, no third-party data center markup. You're paying us directly for infrastructure we own.

📊

No Egress Billing

Most providers charge per GB of data leaving their network. We don't. Bandwidth is included on Grant County PUD fiber — unmetered, no overage invoices, no surprise bills at month-end.

🔧

Small, Efficient Operation

We're not supporting a 200-person sales team or an enterprise support org. You deal directly with the people managing the facility. Lower overhead means lower prices without cutting service quality.

🎖️

Founder Pricing Locks It In

Founder pricing is available for the first 24U deployed — locks your rate for 24 months from your install date. Limited slots. Get in early and the price stays low for two years guaranteed.

Questions About Affordable Colocation in WA

Is cheap colocation a red flag? What's the catch? +
Fair question. The lower cost comes from real structural advantages: cheap hydro power in Grant County, no Seattle real estate overhead, ISP-owned fiber (no reseller margin), and a lean operation. There are real trade-offs to disclose: we have 4 racks (not 400), generator backup is in progress (not live), and we're a small team — not a 24/7 NOC. We're transparent about that. For the right workloads, the trade-offs are worth it. For Tier 3 SLA requirements, we're not the answer yet.
Is Quincy, WA actually part of Washington's colocation market? +
Absolutely. Quincy is one of the most significant data center locations in the Pacific Northwest — Microsoft, Sabey Data Centers, and several hyperscale operators have built major facilities here. The hyperscalers chose Grant County for the same reasons we operate here: cheap clean power and excellent fiber connectivity. Columbia Colocation is the local, accessible option in the same ecosystem.
How do I get hardware to Quincy, WA? +
Ship it directly to our facility — we coordinate a delivery window so someone is on-site to receive it. Quincy is about 3 hours from Seattle via I-90, so driving hardware out is also very doable, especially for the initial install. We'll help you rack and cable it.
Do you serve businesses outside Grant County? +
Yes — we serve businesses across Washington State and beyond. The latency advantage is strongest for Central Washington businesses, but Seattle-area companies, Eastern Washington businesses, and anyone who needs a Washington-state offsite location benefits from collocating here. If you're moving hardware from California or Oregon cloud regions, you'll see similar or better latency and dramatically lower costs.
